 | "Translucent Citrine enhanced by Golden Tigers- Eye and Sterling complete this set. Earwires are non-tarnish Sterling Silver.
Stone Wisdom: Citrine is known as the "success stone" because it promotes success, prosperity, and abundance. It particularly promotes success in business, earning it another nickname, "merchant's stone", and is said to bring business if put in the cashbox of a shop or carried. Citrine is a stone of good fortune, although it brings good fortune in sometimes unexpected ways. It is a stone of manifestation, helping manifest abundance in many ways. Along with prosperity and good fortune, citrine imparts generosity, to share the wealth, so to speak. Tigers-Eye is a quartz pseudomorph (replacement) after riebeckite. Tigers-Eye made its gemstone debut sometime in the late 19th century. Interestingly, it fetched several dollars per carat back then. A 1932 German book on gemstones (Bauer and Schlossmacher, 1932, 674) states that in about 1880, tigers-eye sold for 25 to 39 Marks per carat, or between $6.25 and $7.50 per carat - at a time when western American miners usually fought in vain to earn $3.50 for a hard, dangerous, 10-hour day underground in rich gold and silver mines. Tigers-Eye is the stone of wealth and prosperity.
